Welcome to Crafts on the Move — I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran and the heart and hands behind this little creative corner of the internet. After years of serving my country and navigating some of the world’s most demanding waters, I traded my uniform for stamps, ink pads, and cardstock — and I have never looked back.

Crafting — especially card making — became my anchor after retirement. There is something truly magical about sitting down with a stack of paper and a few supplies and creating something heartfelt from scratch. A
handmade card says what no store-bought greeting ever quite can. And the best part. You don’t need a room full of expensive supplies to make something absolutely beautiful.

That’s the philosophy I built Crafts on the Move around: use what you have, enhance it with something special, and let your creativity do the rest.

What Crafts on the Move Is All About

Crafts on the Move is a one-woman show — just me, my craft table, and a whole lot of passion. I specialize in card making and paper crafts, offering virtual workshops, curated crafting supplies, and a warm,
encouraging community for fellow makers who love to create.

Crafts on the Move is also a small retail store with studio hours offering occasional in person workshops.

My approach is a little different from what you might find elsewhere. Rather than asking you to go out and buy a cart full of new products, I meet you where you are. My workshops and tutorials are designed to
help you get the very most out of the supplies you already own — then we add in a few trendy, carefully chosen crafting treats to elevate your projects and keep things fresh and exciting.

Virtual Workshops — Create From Anywhere

Life doesn’t always let us gather in person — and that’s okay! My virtual card making workshops bring the fun, the instruction, and the community right to your screen. Whether you’re in your kitchen, your craft room, or curled up on the couch with a cup of tea, you can join in and create something gorgeous alongside other makers who get it.

The online workshops are:

— No experience needed for most workshops! I walk you through every step with patience and plenty of encouragement.

— Projects are designed around supplies most crafters already have at home, with optional add-ons to enhance your creations.

— I keep a close eye on the latest card making trends so you’re always learning techniques that feel current and exciting.

•  Live & recorded
— Can’t make it live? No problem. Workshop recordings let you craft at your own pace, on your own schedule.

Use What You Have — Enhance With the Good Stuff

One thing I hear from crafters all the time is, “I have so many supplies but I don’t know what to do with them.” Sound familiar? That’s exactly why I built some workshops and tutorials around your existing stash. We
start with what you already have — your cardstock, your stamps, your inks — and then I show you how to unlock their full potential.

Next comes the fun part. I love introducing crafters to the latest trendy treats — think specialty papers, on-trend embellishments, gorgeous foiling tools, new ink blending techniques, and those little finishing touches that take a card from “nice” to “Oh WOW.” I source and share products that are worth your investment and genuinely exciting to work with.

The result? Cards and projects that look like they came from a professional studio — made by you, with love, without breaking the bank.

In the Coast Guard, I learned that the strongest teams are built on trust, encouragement, and showing up for one another. I carry that same spirit into everything I do at Crafts on the Move.
