In October 2025 we celebrated World Fussy Cutting Day with a private virtual Zoom workshop — and the Paper Cut Kits were the star of the show. A small group of card makers gathered online to cut, layer, and create together — and the results were absolutely stunning.
What Is Fussy Cutting?
If you are new to the technique — fussy cutting simply means carefully cutting around the edges of a printed paper element to isolate the image and use it as a dimensional embellishment on your cards and projects. It requires a little patience and a good pair of scissors but the results are completely worth it!

What We Created -
During our World Fussy Cutting Day workshop we focused on three core techniques:
Fussy cutting — carefully cutting around each paper element to create clean dimensional pieces ready for layering
Paper piecing — assembling the cut elements together to build scenes and collages directly on the card base
Layering — building dimension and depth by stacking cut elements at different heights to create that gorgeous three dimensional effect that makes handmade cards truly special
